![]() ![]() WeTransfer is a really common website, I really love it, you can share up to 2GB files for free, and the best thing about it is that you don't have to create an account, another more thing that I loved is you can add your email so you can receive the file you upload link on your email. Overall experience I would say that Wetransfer is a really good website I like it, and I would really recommend it to you if you want to transfer huge files at good prices PROS For anyone who always needs a backup of a backup, I would not recommend using WeTransfer. This is an especially frustrating feature as an employee of a media company, who constantly needs to ensure that footage is not deleted or lost. The least helpful feature of this software is that files that have been sent via WeTransfer expire after 30 days, and after that 30 days, the sent file(s) are no longer accessible, and can no longer be downloaded. ![]() It's a very quick way to send files if you're looking to do so at a moment's notice. The user experience is pretty straightforward - upload a file, input the email address you want to appear as the sender of the file (usually your own, but can be any email address), and input the the email address or addresses you'd like the file to be sent to. WeTransfer is definitely user-friendly and easy to use, but only for very simple file transfers (2 GB or less). This is a surefire way to lose something important that you forgot to back up. I would much rather be prompted to delete a file myself to clear off space on a host site or app than lose a file simply because 30 days have passed. Overall, I would rather use Dropbox or Google Drive for sending files, for the simple fact that the files are not automatically deleted from Dropbox or Google Drive after a certain amount of time. Chrome can be a bit quirky during the uploading process - at times, the process may take more than one attempt. The Password and Expiration date features of WeTransfer are not exclusive to the Paid version of the app. Large uploads may fail unless your network is unusually strong (e.g., you have to pay for a premium account). WeTransfer enables you to check whether the file has been opened and whether the recipient has read it. No registration or lengthy wait for approval is required they simply upload and send. My recipients can upload their own email addresses, add themselves manually, and send me the finished file. This is superior to what other free file hosts allow, as I don't know much about hosts that allow storage up to 1GB. PROSĪ limit is imposed for file storage up to 2GB. We're particularly fond of WeTransfer for generating assets for partners, vendors and clients. It supports collaboration and large file uploads and sharing between our own servers and those of others. It also has an editorial studio that publishes articles and interviews - all focused on artists, which are its users.WeTransfer performs well for me when used for uploading to an external server. The company offers a pro service and a free file transfer service supported by advertising by large brands using ads created by its own ad studio. WeTransfer was founded in 2009 and has grown into one of the world's top file transfer services with tens of millions of users every month. MaaS is the best media for businesses - not "content marketing." Focusing on MaaS is exactly what WeTransfer has done. This requires creating media content that is of service and not completely self-serving (Media-as-a-Service or MaaS). It would be better to call it Editorial Communications. I often have to remind companies engaged in "content marketing" that the Financial Times or the Wall Street Journal do not write about themselves all day they provide a media service for their financial communities.Ĭontent marketing strives to look like editorial content but succeeds in looking like marketing.
